How to Contribute Plugins


REQUIREMENTS Komunity Requirements

To build and contribute plugins, you must have Docker installed and running, and your environment variables set correctly.

Step 1 Installing the Komunity Plugin Tooling

To get started, you need to install the komunity-plugin tooling.

OSX

  1. Download the  komunity-plugin.darwin.amd64.tar package
  2. Extract the komunity-plugin tool:
    • Locally to your home directory:  tar xvzf komunity-plugin.darwin.amd64.tar.gz - C ~/
    • To /opt/komunity: sudo tar xvzf komunity-plugin.darwin.amd64.tar.gz -C /

Linux

  1. Download the komunity-plugin.linux.amd64.tar package
  2. Extract the komunity-plugin tool:
    • Locally to your home directory:  tar xvzf komunity-plugin.linux.amd64.tar.gz - C ~/
    • To /opt/komunity: sudo tar xvzf komunity-plugin.linux.amd64.tar.gz -C /

You should see something like this.

opt/
opt/komunity/
opt/komunity/bin/
opt/komunity/bin/komunity-plugin

Step 2 Creating Plugins

You must have Komand installed. You can learn about how to build plugins by viewing our Plugin SDK documentation.

Step 3 Uploading Plugins

To upload a plugin package to Komunity, use the komand-plugin tool with the upload command:

/opt/komunity/bin/komunity-plugin upload test-myplugin.tar.gz

Enter username: test
Enter password:
2017/03/02 12:20:51 Building plugin komunity-plugins.komand.com:443/test/myplugin:0.1.0...
